Marjorie Ethel Harrison (affectionately known as Mother), 88, of Middleburg, Florida, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Friday, January 26, 2024. She will be remembered as a kind, gracious, and loving woman who remained strong in her faith despite any adversity she faced.
Marjorie was born in Kingsport, Tennessee on October 5th, 1935 to Howard and Clara Hawkins.
Marjorie met the love of her life, Jay, in 1962 while working as a seamstress. Excited to start their new lives together, the two were married in Charlton County, Georgia on March 8, 1963. They welcomed their daughter, Penny, in July of 1964. She was the final piece to their blended family puzzle, as Penny joined siblings-Terri, Jay Anthony, Paul, Terry, and Janie. The Harrisons made the move to Florida shortly after the birth of their daughter and settled in Jacksonville. It was in Jacksonville, that Marjorie became an employee of Beach Road Chicken Dinners. She made wonderful memories that lasted a lifetime. She often reminisced of her time spent there which was a total of 45 years!
Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents Howard & Clara Hawkins, her husband of 51 years Jay, her daughter and son-in-law Terri & Gary Tedford, her son and daughter in law Jay Anthony & Sandra Harrison, her brother, Glen Hawkins (Nema).
Marjorie is survived by her brother Bobby Hawkins (Sara), her 4 children Penny (Daniel), Paul (Cheryl), Terry (Gwenn), Janie (Milt); her 10 grandchildren Matthew (Erin), Rebecca (Philip), Ashley, Tiffany (Aaron), Christy (Matt), Doug, Dustin, Shanna, Melissa, Todd (Kasey); her 24 great-grandchildren Madison, Peyton, Cameron, Harrison, Audrey, Megan, Reese, Isla, Neve, Kalynn, Caleb, Carter, Emma, Chloe, Luke, Riley, Lauren, Jaiden, Jordan, Adina, Trinton, Bailey, Dom, Liam; her 7 great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
