Mary Catherine Baugh
August 2, 1939 – January 3, 2021
Mary Catherine Tyler Baugh passed away at a hospice facility in Jacksonville FL on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the age of 81. Mary is predeceased by her parents, Glenn Miles and Edna Naff, and her brother, Joseph Miles.
Mary is survived and lovingly remembered by her sons, John Christian Tyler (Julia Tyler) of Green Cove Springs, FL and James Paul Tyler (Kellie Tyler) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. She also had 5 grandsons John Matthew Tyler (Brittany Tyler), Dylan Christian Tyler (Lauren Tyler), Austin Mason Tyler (Katelyn Tyler), James Underwood Tyler, and John William Tyler. She also had 4 great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brody, Eleanor, and Aubrey Tyler.
Mary was born in Marianna, FL on 8-2-39. She graduated high school in Quincy, FL. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Georgia Baptist School of Nursing. Mary demonstrated her care and compassion for human life by working as a Director of Nursing at Moosehaven Retirement Community for over 20 years, working with the American Cancer Society to provide free mammograms to those in need, and she retired after 10 years at Northeast Florida Hospice, with her final two years implementing and supervising Pediatric Hospice.
Mary enjoyed traveling abroad, fashion, home decorating, Genealogy, crafts, and staying physically fit. She also enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
At this time, the family has chosen to delay funeral services due to the Covid19 Pandemic. Details will be provided when the services are arranged in the coming months.
