

Miguel Angel Pérez, 61, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on July 1, 1965, in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, Miguel lived a life defined by love, service, and unwavering devotion to his family.
Miguel proudly served in the United States Navy and carried that same sense of honor and dedication throughout his life. He had a talent for building and fixing things, loved watching sports alongside his sons, never missed a chance to dance when music was playing, and found his greatest adventures traveling the world with his beloved wife, Jacqueline.
Above all, Miguel was a devoted husband, loving father, amazing friend, and proud grandfather. Known affectionately as “Abu,” he cherished every moment with his family and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Miguel is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Pagan Laureano; his children, Stephanie Lara (husband Kelvin Lara) and their daughter, Blake Lara; Michael Perez; and Emmanuel Perez (wife Isabel Perez) and their children, Kairo Perez and Zayd Perez.
Miguel will be remembered for his strength, humbleness, kindness, generous heart, and the unconditional love he gave to those around him. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy will live on through the family he loved so dearly.
