

Ozro Lee May, age 80, of Middleburg, Florida passed away peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2025. He was born in Bangor, Maine to the late William and Eris May. He grew up on the family farm in Wyatt, Missouri with 3 brothers and 4 sisters. After High School he served his country in the U.S. Airforce for 4 years. He then attended Tennessee Tech University. After Graduation he began his career as an Educator. He moved to Florida in the early 70’s and began his next 37 years in the Clay County School System. He started as a P.E. Coach and worked his way up to an Administrator at many schools in the county. He was a “Farmboy” at heart and never lost sight of his roots. He was a hard worker and loved his country. He was a loving, caring husband, father and Papa who will be missed dearly.
Ozro is survived his loving wife of 30 years, Sandra Skipper May; daughters: Liane May Caruso and Emma Jean May; grandchildren: Kyle L. Caruso and Lila D. Caruso; brothers: Warren (Annette) May, Ronald (Monica) May and Stanley (Tammy) May; sisters: Naomi Brantley, Brenda (Dean) Riggs, Carolyn Swim and Gail Lee; and a host of extended family, friends and support groups.
A celebration of life with military honors for Ozro will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Highpoint Community Church, 84 Knight Boxx Road, Orange Park, FL.
