

Paul Joseph Di Mauro, 74, of Jacksonville, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Paul was the only child of Joseph and Margaret Di Mauro. He was raised in the Arlington area of Jacksonville, where he met his wife of 52 years, Carmel Herbert Di Mauro.
A proud veteran, Paul served 21½ years in the United States Coast Guard, retiring at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CWO4). His career included command and leadership positions across the country, notably as 1st Lieutenant and Sailing Master aboard the USCG Barque EAGLE, during which he had the honor of meeting President George H. W. Bush.
Following military retirement, Paul continued his maritime career in both the private and commercial sectors, including leadership roles with Blue Cross Blue Shield, offshore supply companies, and Crowley Maritime Corporation.
Known for his warmth, integrity, and dedication to family, Paul was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered fondly as a man of faith, service, and kindness.
Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carmel Herbert Di Mauro.
He is survived by his daughters Christina Encarnacion (Richard) and Cassandra Guido (David); son Matthew Di Mauro (Shana); and seven grandchildren: Zachary, Amber, Jonathan, Matthew Jr., Lana, James, and Josephine.
A visitation for Paul will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068. A funeral service will follow from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, also at the funeral home. A committal service will take place at 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL 32068.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
