Quentin "Quin" Dexter Mosier

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Sr. and Virginia (Hamm) Mosier; his brothers, Raymond Jr. and Gordon Mosier; his granddaughter, Jade Gabrielle Mosier; and his great-grandson, Ean Benjamin Barnes.

Quin is survived by his devoted wife of 59 years, Heidemarie Mosier; his sons, Michael Mosier (Jodi) and Marcus Mosier (Michelle); his grandchildren, Samantha Barnes (Cory), Donovan Mosier, and Skyler Mosier; his great-grandchildren, Elliott and Emma Barnes; his sister, Loretta Rigdon (Bill); his brother, Martin Mosier (Liz); and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Quin lived a life full of adventure, laughter, and love. Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, and raised in Jacksonville, Florida, he carried a lifelong curiosity for the world. That curiosity took him sailing on open waters, traveling the globe, and learning the stories of the people and places he encountered. Quin had a deep love for music and played guitar for many years. For more than 40 years, St. Augustine was his home, where he poured his energy into the local historical community, re-enacting with friends who became like family, and sharing good times with members of the St. Augustine Boating Club. He was proud of his service in the U.S. Army and Reserves and later enjoyed a long career with the U.S. Postal Service.

Above all, Quin was a family man. Married to Heidi, his wife and partner of 59 years, they built a life full of love, children, grandchildren, and eventually great-grandchildren. Quin’s face lit up around his family—and his beloved dogs. He also never turned down a Burger King Whopper, one of his favorite simple pleasures. Quin lived a happy, fulfilling, and joyful life.

Quin’s greatest joy was his family, and he will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, generous heart, and the many lives he touched. His family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends, neighbors, and caregivers who offered support, comfort, and love throughout his journey.

The Mosier family warmly welcomes all who knew Quin and Heidi to join them in celebrating Quin’s life and legacy. He will take his final voyage into the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean, with a reception of food and refreshments to follow. The celebration will be held on October 4, 2025—on what would have been Quin and Heidi’s 60th wedding anniversary—at the St. Augustine Boating Club, 611 Boating Club Rd., St. Augustine, FL 32084, at 3 p.m. EST. Please be prepared to raise your steins and send Quin on his final voyage.
