

Ralph Gregory Skelton, born on July 7, 1950, in Princeton, Indiana, passed away on October 31, 2025, at the age of 75. Ralph was the beloved son of the late Vivian (Greek) and Jack Skelton. He was a resident of Middleburg, Florida. Ralph was an adventurous, devoted, and generous individual, known for his humorous, hard-working, selfless, wise, and resilient nature. He never met a stranger and was always ready with a smile or a helping hand. In his early life, Ralph proudly served in the US Navy as part of the SeaWolves Hal 3. After his military service, he pursued a lifelong career in the railroad industry. He worked 28 years on Norfolk Southern RR and 10 years on Amtrak, where his dedication and work ethic were greatly admired. In 2003, Ralph married Karen, with whom he shared a loving and fulfilling life. Together, they raised a family that includes his children: Chris Skelton (Pam), Julie Surdy (John), Derrell Meeks (Denise), and Kerri Rogers, siblings; Michael Skelton (Darlene) and Deborah Hyneman (Alan).Ralph was a proud grandfather to seven grandsons, two granddaughters, and two great-grandsons. Ralph had a passion for life that was evident in his personal interests and hobbies. He enjoyed riding his bicycle 10-15 miles per day, woodworking, fishing, traveling, camping, and spending time with his beloved Boston Terriers. Ralph was also an active member of his community, contributing his time and efforts to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW). Ralph Gregory Skelton will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. His adventurous spirit and generous heart touched many lives, leaving a legacy of love and laughter.
He was a God fearing Veteran who loved his family and his country.
