Tuesday June 26, 2012, Sherri Lynn McGinnis Brown (51) passed away after a brief illness. Sherri will be greatly missed by all who knew her and had the opportunity to share her life. She was warm and easy going with a fun loving spirit. Sherri was admired for many reasons, amongst them her strength, sense of humor, loyalty, and dedication to her family and friends.
She worked as a Customer Service Manager at Darifair Foods for 16 years helping to make the company what it is today. Originally from Charlotte, NC, she moved to Jacksonville, in 1983. She leaves behind two loving children - Amanda Rae & William Kyle and three wonderful grandchildren - Brianna Lynn, Jordan Kailey , and David Andrew. Sherri is also survived by her mother and father, Pat and Glen McGinnis ; sisters, Bobbie-Jean, Cindy, and Diane ; brothers, Terry (Sherry) and David (Wanda) ; as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends (Dave, Brenda, Lou, Evie) who will miss her dearly. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 14, at 2:00 PM at the Oakleaf Christian Fellowship, 6200-2 Lake Gray Blvd. Jacksonville, FL 32244 with Pastor Robert Brown officiating.
