Shirley Jean McGinniss, 89, passed away on October 6, 2025. She was born in Volga, West Virginia to the late Hudson and Maxine McCoy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, Milburn “Mac” McGinniss; brother, Jerry McCoy and sister, Mary Kempston.
Those who knew “Momma” will remember her for her infectious smile and overwhelming laughter, her deep-rooted faith in Jesus, and her unwavering commitment to spreading love and kindness to everyone she encountered, leaving a lasting impact on everyone who crossed her path.
Shirley is survived by her 3 devoted children: Timothy McGinniss, Terry (McGinniss) Horne and Tracy McGinniss; sister, Rebecca "Becky" Roets; grandson, Sean Horne and wife, Anna Horne; 2 great-grandchildren: Benjamin Horne and Charlotte "Charlie" Horne; and a host of extended family and friends.
Family will receive friends from 10-11 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Hardage-Giddens Holly Hill Funeral Home, 3601 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, FL. Graveside services will be held 11 AM at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
