With profound love and heartbreak, we announce the passing of our son, Silas Jude Timpf. He was born November 1, 2025, in Orange Park, Florida, and passed away on May 31, 2026. Though his time on earth was brief, he gave love and joy to his entire family.
Silas was deeply loved by his parents: Justine Smith and Alexander Timpf, sisters: Rowan and Isla, maternal grandmother Becky Gillespie of Park Hills, Kentucky, paternal grandparents: Laurie and Mitchell Timpf of Middleburg, Florida, aunts: Zayden Lawliet, Katie Porter and Michelle Porter, uncle Mitchell Timpf and numerous nieces and nephews.
In the time he was given, Silas filled his home with smiles, giggles, and a profound yet steady sweetness that will be remembered always. He was crawling army style and loved to babble happily, even growling occasionally which his Papaw taught him. He loved hugs, being swaddled tightly, and he found comfort in listening to a combination of rain and white noise in the background with the lullabies on his mobile. Silas definitely had a fear of missing out on anything and had to be wherever in the house the action was.
Silas enjoyed watching Tool Time with his Papaw, and Dragon Tales with his Mimi. He began his day all smiles and laughter; he was the happiest baby. His mama would sing to him, “You are my Sunshine”, though his Mimi’s specialty was, “A bushel and peck and a lovin’ around your neck.” These simple, tender routines became cherished moments that will be carried forward with deep affection.
Though our time together was unbearably short, the love he brought into our lives will stay with us always.
A private Celebration of Life will be held by the family. Please sign the online guestbook at link below.
