He was happily married for over 55 years to his wife, Margaret "Maggie" and together they raised 3 successful sons: Thomas Boughter Jr, James Boughter and Timothy Boughter.
His professional career was dedicated to over 40 years with IBM as a Customer Service Engineer after he attended East Coast Aerotech while serving in the Massachusetts Army National Guard for 12 + years.
He was loved by many and is survived by his wife, Margaret Boughter, son, Thomas and his wife, Marcy, son, James and his wife Melinda, brother, Kenneth Boughter, sister, Barbara and her husband
John Osborn, grandchildren: Rebecca, Daniel, Beau, Jake, Ruby, Violet, as well as many nieces, nephews and family members.
He is predeceased by his parents, Wilbur and Dorothy Boughter; son, Timothy Boughter; uncle Edward and aunt Bessie Soule and grandparents: Arthur and Minnie Studley.
