To my good friend, Wild Bill King.  I met Bill 15 years ago when I was hired at a small civilian aviation company in Jacksonville.  I was a young hydraulics mechanic in the Navy looking for some extra income and Bill was working there as a supervisor.  He took me under his wing because I did not know anything about civilian aviation...all I knew was naval aviation.  He was a retired Chief and still doing what Chiefs do.  He took care of me and ensured I knew what I was doing.  We became good friends and because of the time I spent working with him, I am a better technician, a better leader, and a better man.  I transferred to California and then Virginia and he went up to Maryland and we only spoke via email.  When I transferred back to Florida last month I tried to catch up with him at the VFW.  We missed each other there on several occasions.  I never got the chance to see him again have a cold beer with my friend.  He was so very proud of his children.  He will be missed.  I will not walk into the VFW Post 8255 and not think of Wild Bill King.

Jamie William and Brian I am so sorry y'all have to go through all this stuff in one year!! I love all of y'all and I wish I could do something to change it for you guys!! But know your dad is in heaven looking down on y'all and melonie and Jacob.. And he will be there waiting on all of you!! I love you guys and I am praying for y'all!!

Bill was my cousin also and I have great memories of growing up together in Detroit. While we grew apart, he was family and will be missed. No man can leave behind a greater legacy than children raised to adults and Bill has two great children. Sailor rest your oars you are at peace with the Commander in Chief, our Lord and Savior.

Bill was a friend.My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Billy (the name I knew him by) and I grew up together, being cousins and living only a few blocks away from each other.  He taught me how to ride behind city busses on snowy/icy streets, shared his one-time dreams of being an icthyologist (which I had to go home and look up in the dictionary), and was just a great childhood friend. I knew and liked Bill, he was a friend. We hadn't seen eachother in a long time but I know the earth will have one less beautiful Spirit and Heaven has gained one. God Bless his family and friends. Hugs to them all.
