Mrs. Davis, age 87, of New Salem, transitioned to her eternal life on Tuesday, May 29, 2018. Born September 1, 1930 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late Gary Antonio McCarver and Jettie Anderson McCarver.
Mrs. Davis is survived by two daughters, Cindi Heafner (Dennis) and Lori Lette (Terry); daughter-in-law, Hazel Davis; eight grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; a great-great grandchild; and two brothers, Harry McCarver (Betty) and Johnny McCarver (Doris).
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Jefferson Davis; two sons, Jeff Davis and Mike Davis; two brothers, Robert McCarver and Donald McCarver; and three sisters, Grace Babb, Louise Romines and Lena Doster.
Mom was the rock and foundation of our family. She planted the seed on which we base our lives. Mom worked several jobs during her life, but her most important one was her family. She leaves a legacy of unconditional love.
Friends are cordially invited to visit with the family from 10:30 AM - 11:15 AM Saturday, June 2nd at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, 7002 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Marshville. A celebration of her life will follow at 11:30 AM in the church sanctuary with Pastor John Miller and Reverend Ray Lugo, officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill.
