Allen was one of the most decent, honorable, intelligent and caring individuals I've ever known. He always was a source of help in any circumstance and always provided the right touch of wisdom when the occasion arose. Well versed in almost any subject, Allen was always able to shed interesting light on any topic. Rest, my friend, it is well deserved!

Dear Nell,
I am sorry to hear the news of Allen's death.  Lee called me just the other day.
My memory of him goes way back to when you both would come to Sumter to  see May and you would take time to visit with Mama and Dad.  I remember a lot of laughter with many stories and  I recall him playing  guitar and singing.  
I hope you are staying well.
You and family will be in my thoughts.
