Born in New Orleans, LA on August 1, 1925, he was one of seven children born to Theozime and Jeanne Danigole Keller.
A Catholic by faith, the family eventually settled in Marrero, LA along the banks of the Mississippi River. David graduated from Fisher High School in New Orleans.
In 1943 he joined the Merchant Marines making several trips across the Atlantic during WWII.
David retired from Continental Grain where he was employed as the office manager.
Survivors include his wife, Geraldine Pearl Clement Keller, whom he married May 26, 1946; two sons, Glen Keller of Harrisburg, NC and Kris Keller and his wife, Allene of Belle Chase, LA; a granddaughter, Erin Ann Keller Popich; a great grandson, Carter Popich; and three siblings, Sister Jeanne Marie Keller of New Orleans, LA, Rose Keller Gros and George Francis Keller both of Marrero, LA.
Three siblings preceded him in death, Earl Keller, Lester Keller and Sister Catherine Keller.
