Dianne Kirby Robinson

Ms. Robinson, 70, of Charlotte, passed away on February 23, 2012 at her residence. She was born on July 29, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois to Fred A Kirby and Mildred Kirby. She was a loving and caring sister, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with family and with her church family as well. She also enjoyed traveling, reading and shopping. She will be missed but will stay in our hearts forever. I will always remember the special song that she said her daddy sang to her (You Are My Sunshine).

She is survived by her children; Peggy Mahnken of Charlotte NC, Fred Kirby of Philadelphia, PA and Rick Gay of Salisbury NC; grandchildren; James Robert Mahnken of Sarasota FL, Dylan Kirby and Ashlyn Grace Kirby of Philadelphia PA, sisters; Patricia Medlin of Maggie Valley NC, Evon Ammons of Charlotte, NC and Nanette White of NC.

Our sincere thanks go out to the staff at Presbyterian Hospice Care and especially nurse Lennee, for their care of Ms. Robinson.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, February 27, 2012 at 1:00pm at Hickory Grove Baptist Church 6050 Hickory Grove Rd Charlotte, NC 28215. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Service will be given by Rev. Henry Ward. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park Cemetery.
