Donald Marion White

Donald Marion White, 66 years of age, of Harrisburg, North Carolina was the beloved husband of Brenda Beamer White and father of Jason and Zachary, passed away November 24, 2014 in Concord, North Carolina. Don was born in Charlotte on December 5, 1947.

Besides his wife and sons, sister Barbara Lewis and brother-in-law Charles also survive him. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Murray and Kathryn White, and brother Bob White.

Don served in the United States Navy from 1966 to 1972 and served two tours in Vietnam.

He worked for AMF Bowling Center and in the bowling industry for many years. Family and friends will greatly miss Don’s quick wit and great sense of humor. Don also was the head chef at family gatherings and vacations.

Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00p.m. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens in Charlotte.
