Ms. Long was married to Rev. C. Gary Long and was a partner in his ministry for more than sixty years. Ms. Long obtained a Masters degree in education and taught at various schools across North Carolina for 42 years. A dedicated teacher, she kept up with many of her students across the years.
She is survived by her son, Gary M. Long and wife, Pam of Indian Trail, and daughter, Karen Collette Mullis and husband, Gary of Matthews. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Jason Paul Mullis and wife, Tracy and Karen Michelle Kent and husband, Patrick; seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00pm on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint HIll Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227 followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00pm. Burial will be private.
