Edith Baucom Wilson

Edith Blanche Baucom Wilson, 89, of Mint Hill, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 21, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born in Mecklenburg County on September 3, 1923 to the late Lloyd and Nannie Baucom. She was a member of Wilson Grove Baptist Church and former member of Golden Acre Baptist Church. Edith was a specialist in tender loving care and making a house a home.

She is predeceased by her parents, her husband, J.W. Wilson, brother, Clyde Baucom and sister, Lorene Fleming. Edith is survived by her children; Wayne (Jan) Wilson of Cleveland, TN, Gene Wilson of Mint Hill, Linda Wilson Rivenbark of Mint Hill and Jim Wilson of Stone Mtn., GA, eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, sister, Hazel Scott and brother, Boyce Baucom, both of Charlotte, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 24, 2013 from 3:00 to 5:00pm at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Charlotte, NC 28227. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 25, 2013 at 11:00am at Wilson Grove Baptist Church 6624 Wilgrove Mint Hill Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
