Frances Dean Towell

Frances Dean Towell, 83 of Harrisburg and formerly of Charlotte, NC passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 23,2020. She is survived by her brother, Bob Hagler and nieces and nephews, Tony and Strawberry Hagler, Steve and Jill Hagler, Randy and Vivien Hagler, Donna and Roger McGraw, Corenda and Jay Bodnar, Sandra and Sonny White, Carla and Scott Horn and Doug Hagler. She was preceded in death by her husband Onie Clinton Towell and daughter Kathy Towell. Also, her brothers Marvin Hagler, Bill Hagler and Ernest Hagler. Her most favorite times where spent with her husband and daughter going with their friends to car shows. They had a great love of old Ford cars and loved to take them to the different car shows. When she talked about these times her face would light up with happiness. She was employed for 40 plus years at Mize Company and Control Motion in Charlotte.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 28th, 2020 form 12:00 to 1:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227. Funeral service will follow at 1:00pm in the chapel at McEwen. Rev. Jeff Rushing will officiate. Burial will follow at Charlotte Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the staff and nurses at Elmcroft Senior Living for the excellent care they provided Dean.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Westford United Methodist Church, 273 NC-49, Concord, NC 28025.

Dean was such a sweet lady. Her husband Onie, and my Dad served with the Charlotte Police Department in the early 1960"s. I have fond memories of going to their house or them coming to ours for cook outs, but mainly Onie and my Dad going to car shows and showing off their old cars. Dean was always with Onie and I know she missed Onie and Kathy. But they are reunited again.
We will see you one day soon. Thank you for our paths crossing on this earth.
