

Frankie was born on August 26, 1955. Originally from Indian Trail, NC , he was the oldest of 5 children, of Charles and Bobbie Jean Sullivan. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Cathy Charbonneau Sullivan; daughter, Shona Rix (George); sisters Vicky McInnis (Rick), Sandy Hargett , Charlene Copeland (Randy); brother, Mike Sullivan (Martha); 6 grandchildren; Duncan, Logan, Ian, Kyan, Teagan, and Marisa Jo. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 13 great-nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Frankie graduated from Sun Valley High School in Monroe, NC in 1973. He attended Central Piedmont Community College. He worked 4 years for Pepsi Cola Bottling Company in Charlotte, NC. He finished his 27 year career as a truck driver for Lance.
Frankie loved sports and he graciously donated his time and talents to coaching basketball and baseball with the Indian Trail Athletic Association for many years. Frankie was a big fan and loved to watch his Carolina Tarheels basketball team.
Frankie’s love of the beach inspired him to move to Myrtle Beach, SC and he lived there with his wife Cathy for the past several years. Frankie had a special place in his heart for his 6 grandchildren and he loved them dearly. He was very proud of them and they brought him so much joy.
Frankie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Oscar and Bertha Sullivan and Carl and Amanda Robinson.
A visitation with the family will be from 1-2pm, Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at New Salem Baptist Church, 2915 Goldmine Road, Monroe, NC. A memorial service will immediately follow at 2pm with Pastor Douglas Rumley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that you make a donation to the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.
