Gladys was friendly, caring, hardworking, and a great square dancer. Her work ethic was evident in her long working career with Bi-Lo grocery stores. She was also an animal lover, specifically her miniature long haired chihuahua, Pootsie. She enjoyed the roses she received from her children and they would always be some roses planted around her house. She also enjoyed trips with her husband to the NASCAR motor speedways to feed the masses with homemade biscuits, hotdogs, chili, candy apples, cotton candy, snow cones, and anything else you needed. Her faith was important to her and she was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Mint Hill, NC. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, James Hardy; her son, Ricky Hardy; and her step-grandson, Rufus Brown.
Gladys is survived by her children, James Hardy (Kathy), Charlene Coppin (Phil), Mickey Hardy (Stacey); her grandchildren, Tim Hardy (Ivey), Kristi Hardy, Philippe Coppin (Sheena), Chara Coppin, Danielle Hardy, and Monique Coppin (Josh); her daughter-in-law, Ginger Hardy; her step-grandchildren, Mike Ramos, Nicole Ramos, Tiffany Effinger (Will); and her twenty great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
