Helen Cochrane Morris Eudy

Her funeral service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, August 7, at Philadelphia Presbyterian Church, 11501 Bain School Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227. The Rev. Lee Koontz will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 7:30 PM Monday at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel.

Born September 23, 1918, in Mecklenburg County, NC, Mrs. Eudy was a daughter of the late Luther Caldwell Cochrane and Lelia Noles Cochrane. She was a member of Philadelphia Presbyterian Church and the Fred Brown Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Eudy was preceded in death in 1972 by her first husband, J.W. “Bub” Morris, her second husband in 1995, Oren Eudy, two brothers, J.C. “Buck” Cochrane and Richard Cochrane, and two sisters, Margaret Gladden and Agnes Arant.

Surviving are her daughter, Betty Weatherly (Bill); two step-daughters, June Meetze (Jerry), and Brenda Fitzgerald; one brother, Mack Cochrane (Violet); three sisters, Doris Duncan, Jo Burnette (Lester), and Kelly Evans (Jerry); seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and two great-great-granddaughters.

The family offers their most sincere appreciation to Judy Gaston and Brittany Cook and the hospice staff, and granddaughter, Kay Newberry, for the love and care they provided Mrs. Eudy.
