Such an empty feeling, I pray for strength to go on without her daily. All my love to the one who loved me unconditionally.

It's wonderful to read all the kind comments about Jamie and condolences to Elizabeth here, especially from those who knew her at the museum or in other contexts. For many of you, I've heard a great deal about you from her, but have never met you. And it's probably the same way for you with me. Sorry I didn't get to meet many of you at her service. Elizabeth, I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear about your loss. I just found out last night so I missed the opportunity to attend the service and tell you in person. I miss our times at Green and all the fun we used to have. Your Mother has remained special to me all these years and I'm blessed with wonderful memories of the fun we had at church,at your house on Shamrock, at the beach and with Voices of Praise. Jamie left a touch on my heart and many others. I am a better person, stronger woman and more devoted Christian for having the privilege of walking for a season with your Mom. You will be in my thoughts and prayers and I hope we will cross paths again soon. May God pour out His comfort on you.

I was so saddened to hear of Jamie's passing - she was such a wonderful person and I can't imagine my years at the Museum without her.  Her spirit, laughter and dedication were always amazing.  When I moved to England, I sent pictures to her of all the amazing gardens and flowers I saw - every time I walked in a garden I thought of her.  Jamie was truly special and I know how much she will be missed.  You have my deepest sympathy.

I was the Director of Education a couple years ago, and Jamie was a delight to work with. She had a great sense of humor, a hard worker and totally dedicated to the museum and her family. She often showed pictures of her grandbabies, and would relate stories of what they said or did. I know her passing is a great loss to this world, but she left behind a great legacy of love and friendship.

I am so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.Jamie was the kindest person, she had a heart of gold and cherished her family.  I feel so honored to have worked with her at the Museum. She will be missed dearly.

Elizabeth, I volunteered at the CMH/HAH for 10 years. Jamie treated me like family from the day I walked in the door. She always had a smile - always asked how I was - always did anything I needed with a joyful heart. She was a lovely person and made a difference in the lives of those around her. I am so sorry. May God bring you comfort during such a difficult time for you and your family.

Your mother was one of the most spirited, enthusiastic and hardworking ,loving people that I have ever known. Elizabeth,
I'm so very sorry to hear about your loss.  I don't think I've ever met a person with such a "can do" attitude as your mom.  She was a blessing in my life at the Museum and a gift to the lives of all who knew her.  Like Kris said, your mom possessed an indeterminable amount of strength; something that will support you through these very difficult days and truly for the rest of your life.

I am so very sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She was a gentle spirit who brightened our world for too short a time.  
Your mom was one of the kindest, most considerate people I've ever known. I'll never forget our years together, working at the homesite, in the garden or talking about family, flowers and pets.  She loved nature and all its creatures.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you. I know that you have the strength to move on - she gave you that.  You were so important to her.

E - your Mom was such a wonderful person. We had some really great times working together at the Museum, and I will always cherish those memories.  

I know this is a difficult time for you.  The loss of a mother is especially hard. As a friend told me when my mother passed away, "Mothers are so special because they carry us under their hearts for nine months, and in their hearts forever." That's so true.
