Our beloved brother and friend was born in Albemarle, NC on May 9, 1938 to the late Leo and Vernie Hahn Hinson. He was married to the late Martha Shaver Hinson who passed on September 11, 2011. He is survived by his son, Todd Hinson of Mint Hill; and his granddaughter, Magdeline Hinson.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving sisters, Shirley H. Talbert of Suffolk, VA, Lana H. Loeb; and brother-in-law, Robert Loeb of Albemarle. Jerry is also survived by nephews, Mark Talbert, Myron Talbert; and niece Marissa Banton who adored him, and numerous long-time, devoted friends.
A service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 23, 2014 officiated by Jerry’s nephew, Mark Talbert with the visitation beginning at 11:30 a.m. at McEwen Funeral Service – Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews – Mint Hill Rd., Mint Hill, NC 28227. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
