Jess Espinosa, age 63, passed away on Monday, January 18, 2021 surrounded by his family. Jess was born August 2, 1957 in Los Angeles, California to Orlando and Jessie Espinosa. He attended Alhambra High School in Phoenix, Arizona. Jess enlisted in the US Army in 1974 and served with the 82nd Airborne 2nd - 504th out of Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
After his military service, Jess married Katherine Patterson on January 28, 1978. Jess drove a tractor trailer for Weyerhaeuser Corporation. He went on to commercial, then residential construction as a project manager for many companies.
Jess enjoyed camping with Jon Hunter, riding his motorcycle with his best friend, DJ James and traveling with his kids, as well as spending time with his granddaughter.
He is survived by Kat Espinosa and their children, Jessica (Brad) Almond and Andrew "Ace" Espinosa; his granddaughter, Annalee Paige Almond and soon to be born grandson, Axton Jess Almond; mother, Jessie Espinosa; sisters, Anna Marie (Bruce) Yarwood and Tonye (Jim) Bishop; brother, Arlo (Jennifer) Espinosa; mother in law, Opal Patterson and many extended family members.
He was predeceased by his father, Orlando Espinosa II.
He will be laid to rest in Mint Hill, North Carolina with military honors.
