Born July 26, 1927 in Calhoun County, MI, Mrs. Wilson was a daughter of the late Leon Olen Rector and Rosa Conine Rector. She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, William Edgar Wilson; twin sister, Gertrude Hosbein and brother, Robert Rector. Mrs. Wilson is survived by her two sons, William Michael Wilson (Sheila) and David Allen Wilson (Ruth) of Mint Hill; daughter, Randy Sue Russell (Bill) of Charlotte; her three grandchildren, Michele Wilson Altenkirch (Aaron), Sean Wilson, and Cody Wilson, all of Charlotte; one great granddaughter, Alex Altenkirch of Charlotte; and her sister, Beverly Holcomb of Florida.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2016, in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
