Margaret Ann Ward

Mrs. Margaret Culbreth Ward of Harrisburg, formerly of Myrtle Beach and Charlotte, passed away September 30, 2012 peacefully in her home. She was born August 29, 1924 in Chadbourn, NC to the late Ben and Annabell McKeithan.

Margaret was a graduate of Chadbourn High School and James Walker School of Nursing in Richmond, VA. She served faithfully as a supervising registered nurse at Charlotte Memorial Hospital for 40 years.

Margaret was predeceased by her loving husband, Ivey Ward, sister, Nell Ankers, and brother, James McKeithan. She is survived by daughter, Zane Ward of the home, son, Samuel Ward, granddaughter, Alyson McCann and husband, Brad, grandson, Geoff Ward, and her precious great-granddaughter, Maggie Mae McCann.

Margaret was a devoted, loving and loved wife, mother, grandmother, friend and servant to her Lord.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, with the Rev. Nancy Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
