Years ago Maxine and Gene befriended my parents, who lived right across the street on Errington Lane. In later years Maxine and Kim continued extending their hospitality and love to my folks, periodically walking a fresh-baked treat across to their house. When my brother and I moved our parents to assisted living near my home in Tennessee in October 2019, Maxine and Kim bade them a heartfelt farewell. After our dad passed away later that fall, they continued to send endearing cards to our mom in her memory care apartment. Thank you, Kim, for encouraging that relationship between our sweet mothers. Shirley and I share in your family's sorrow.

My Dearest Friend Kimmy,

What a beautiful mother you shared with me. She truly taught me so much growing up (shopping, cooking, ironing, canning, vacation bible school, and on and on), basically my second Mother, always included me! I will miss her unbelievably. She was always her same self “Mary Maxine” and that’s what I treasure most. I’m heart broken but know she has earned her wings with grace and in a wonderful place. Much love to you , Craig and family during this incredibly difficult time.
