

Michael Steven “Mike” Brewer died Friday, October 6, 2017, while visiting friends in Rutherfordton, North Carolina. Born June 1, 1952, in Hickory, North Carolina, Mike lived 65 years and left all who loved him way too soon.
Mike was a very successful business man and entrepreneur. His famous slogan for business and life was, “Motivate.” He made many friends and gave freely of himself to help many now successful people. Although he traveled often, Mike always called Charlotte home. He attended school in Charlotte and could often be found on the basketball court. He loved to play golf.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Virgil Brewer, and his grandparents. He left behind two daughters, Allison Brewer and Blair Brewer. Also remaining to carry on his legacy are his mother, Betty S. Brewer of Shallotte, North Carolina; a brother, Terry V. Brewer and wife, Vicki I. Brewer; and a niece, Kendyl Brewer. He will be missed most by his nephew, Kyle D. Brewer. His family mourns and remembers their son, father, brother and “Grand Motivator.”
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 12:00 until 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 11, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with a funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Leland K. Stephens will officiate. Interment will follow in Charlotte Memorial Gardens.
