I worked with Mike, when I was his customer service rep with Paramount Apparel. What a funny, kind and amazing man he was. I always looked forward to speaking with him, and even continued to stay in touch when I changed departments. The world has lost a great person with a wonderful soul way to soon. I truly believe he is selling hats in heaven and making everyone laugh.

To his family and friends I'm so sorry for your loss. Cherish your memories and happiness with him and I'm sure those with keep a smile on your face.

A close friend of our Michael said in his tribute yesterday that the ‘Book of Michael’ was not finished being written — that future chapters will be written by his loving sons, grandchildren, brother, father, family and all those he loved during his full and happy life. Michael was an organ donor, too, so there are additional chapters to be written by those he saved. Rest in heavenly peace, dear cousin Michael. I’ll never forget you.💙

I have so many memories with Mike it’s hard to narrow down to which one! I remember us running around the neighborhood during the summer months trying to occupy our time. Back in those days there were no video games, only a few channels on the TV and we made our fun the old fashion way! Great times! I also have fond memories of riding around in that blue bronco I believe it was! God Bless u brother!! My thoughts and prayers are with the family!

Brother Mike you are going to be missed by so many whose lives you've impacted over the years. Most of our memories are from the 70's and 80's but on occasion when we would run into each other on the golf course or maybe at a concert it was always like I just saw you yesterday. I will never forget the smile on your face every time I saw you. I'll continue to pray for strength for your family through this difficult time and I will see you someday in the Kingdom.

Speechless. What a loss way too soon. Condolences and prayers to a special family. I haven't seen Mike in years but will always remember the great times playing softball at MUMC, building houses, and our guys night out every Monday at Outback. Mike was a great friend you could always count on. He will truly be missed. You are all in my prayers!

Mike was an amazing friend to so many in our community. He always had a smile on his face, and if you were lucky enough to see him at Earps, Foof Lion, O’Neill’s, The Hill or just in passing, he would always say “Glad you got to see me” Now this entire community will miss this! He coached so many of our kids at MHAA, He never had a negative word to say unless you were not pulling for NC State! Mike you have made such an amazing impact on so many, and you will be deeply missed! Until we all meet again ❤️🙏

I always enjoyed playing against Mike in the church softball league. He was really a good guy and always friendly on the field and when I would see him around town as well. Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. He will be missed.

My heart is broken! Mike was one of the sweetest most fun people. It’s been too many years since we graduated high school but he was one you never forget. I for one don’t remember many but Mike I did and always will! Praying God has his arms around him now and that I will have the privilege of his laugh and smile again one day! Prayers for his family as he was so very special!

Mike we were not best friends. We were the best kind of friends. Too many memories to mention all of them. We grew up together. School. Sports. Family. Lotta laughs. Lotta love. Gonna miss our earps times. Gonna miss you beeping the horn at me getting the mail. You could've driven by and I wouldn't have known. You made the effort to acknowledge a friend. I have never lost a good friend so this one is kind of tough my brother. We always shook hands and we always hugged. I love you.
