He was born on May 10, 1964 in Charlotte, NC to Uriah “Buck” and Rebecca Plyler. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Helms Plyler.
Mr. Plyler is survived by his sons, Cameron Plyler (Brook) and Carson Plyler (Taylor); grandchildren, Brayden and Peyton; father, Uriah “Buck” Plyler; brother, Greg Plyler and longtime girlfriend Emily Abernathy.
Michael graduated from Independence High School class of 1982. He was a baseball coach for Mint Hill Athletic Association for over 15 years, including coaching both of his sons. He continued to help in the community after they had graduated by umpiring and refereeing for MHAA. Michael enjoyed going to concerts, the lake, beach, and traveling with his longtime girlfriend Emily.
Michael has been a member at Matthews United Methodist Church for over 40 years.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Matthews United Methodist Church, 801 South Trade Street, Matthews, NC 28105 with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
A committal service will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill, NC.
