There may not be a perfect person, but you came pretty close. Your heart for not only God, but everyone was such an inspiration. You were the best grandmother and friend in the entire world. I'm so beyond thankful this is not goodbye, just see you later. I hope one day I can be half the grandma you were to me. There's not a day that goes by that I don't think about you. Ill never forget the hour long conversations we would have on the phone every day. You always knew exactly what to say. You may never of lived close by, but you will always be close in my heart. I love and miss you more than word can describe.

I was always proud to be Nancy's aunt.  One of my favorite memories is when on a trip to the beach in Florida when Nancy was just a teenager, a teenage guy came up to Nancy and asked her if she had a light.  Nancy said, "I sure don't".  He said, "Well you got everything else, baby".  And, she did.  She was beautiful inside and out.  Her love and devotion to her family was boundless.  She was very proud of all of her children and grandchildren.

I knew this day would come,  I waited for it over the last 5 years. You would cry every time we had to go home, and today, I cried my eyes out because you finally went home. Your hugs were the best, and I always finished them by kissing you on your head. You were the perfect grandmother, kind to everyone, but ready to protect all of us. I cry, not because I won't see you again, but because you left so quick. Your last words to me were "Hey precious" and my last words were "I love you, Mamaw" just like the ending to all of our conversations. Aunt Cindy told me after I told you goodbye today, that there was no one else on God's green earth that you loved more than me. As much as I hope it's true, there's no one else on God's green earth that I love as much as you. You are in my heart forever and always. I cannot wait to get to heaven and wring my arms around your neck. This isn't goodbye, but see you soon. I know you're singing and dancing with Jesus right now, and knowing that overcomes the pain. I'll see you soon Mamaw, I love you all the way to heaven and back.

There was never a more caring, beautiful, loving individual.  Many of my childhood memories are filled with summer days of her  babysitting us. She took me to her piano lessons at Queens College, we would ride the city bus, I thought I was something. My sister LuLu and I though she was the most glamous person we had ever seen, like a movie star during our childhood years.  She will be missed and was a wonderful person, mother, sister. I remember Nancy's good heart, devotion to her family, interest in others, willingness to do for others and her great laugh.  I have fond memories of my childhood and thinking Nancy was the most beautiful, talented woman in the world.  She will be missed.
