She was born in Durham, NC on January 7, 1942 to the late Raymond and Esther Harris.
She was a graduate of Southern High School in Durham, and a longtime member of Dilworth Baptist Church.
As an avid fan of music, it may have been Elvis or Bluegrass on the stereo, nothing ever surprised her.
She was an avid bowler and a half ass golfer, she loved spending time with family and friends at the beach house, as well as the occasional golf cart rides to the ocean and Duke basketball.
As a lifelong contributor to the NC education system; she worked in several facets, from payroll to transportation.
“Just Pat” as she would refer to herself, when someone addressed her formally. She was instrumental in raising two kids, caring for her husband, three grandchildren, several dogs, a rabbit and a few dozen friends of the family.
She is survived by Surviving her siblings Carolyn Hall and Min Melvin. Daughter, Lisa Sharpe and son, Lee Sharpe. Along with granddaughters, Amanda Sharpe and Brianna Jolly.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Sharpe, grandson, Anthony Thomas, sisters, Peggy Hall and Myrtle Weaver and brothers, James and Linwood Harris.
She will be greatly missed by so many, that sharp wit and uncanny ability to make others laugh and feel special. Love you more. See you on the other side mama.
