Ms. Reynolds, 81, of Charlotte, died Saturday, December 3, 2011, at home.
Ms. Reynolds was born May 15, 1930, in Mint Hill, NC, daughter of the late William Scott Dulin and Ola Taylor Dulin. She was a 1948 graduate of Oakhurst High School.
She was employed with C.D.Stampley Enterprises for 58 years and retired from fulltime employment November 3, 2010.
She will be remembered for the time she enjoyed spending with her family, especially her three grandchildren who were her pride and joy, and many, many friends.
She was a member and officer of the Hornets’ Nest Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association and has been a longtime member of the Women’s Auxiliary of the Mint Hill VFW Post 4059. In addition, she was also a member of many other business, civic, and social organizations during her lifetime as service to her community was a priority.
Ms. Reynolds is survived by daughters, Amanda Etters (Johnny) and Keeley Lekavich (Mark); grandchildren, Cody, Brynne and Blayr Lekavich all of Mint Hill; Cynthia Etters Bradley (Mike) of Ankorage, Alaska; Robbie Etters of Huntersville, NC; great-grandchildren, Hope Bradley Hinson (Steve) of Albemarle, NC; Megan Bradley Wagoner (Mark) of Gainsville, Florida; Johnny Bradley of Charlotte, NC; brothers-in-law, Norman Reynolds (Doris) and Earl Reynolds (Evelyn) of Mint Hill; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family at the residence of Amanda and Johnny Etters, 12225 Ranburne Rd., Mint Hill, NC.
Her family will receive friends from 12 to 3 PM and from 7 to 9 PM on Monday, December 5, 2011, and from 1-2 PM on Tuesday, December 6, 2011, at McEwen - Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd., Mint Hill, NC. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home chapel conducted by the ministers of Rocky River True Light Church, of which Ms. Reynolds was a member. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Henry Reynolds.
