Today, September 11th 2013 we say goodbye to the Patriarch of my Rosenthal family, Arthur Seymour Rosenthal. He was born January 9, 1923 in Brooklyn, New York and passed away on the morning of September 11, 2013 at the age of 90. A World War II veteran, he was a POW in 1944 spending a year in a German prison camp. Arthur was awarded the Purple Heart. He will be remember for his spirited conversations about baseball , the war and of course his family. He believed in family first... and that was what he lived by. Fitting that he passes on 9/11, a day of remembrance for the country he served with courage and honor.
He is survived by his wife Helen (married more than 60 years), son Neal and daughters Gail and Shelly. He has nine grandchildren, Danny, Shana, Joseph, Kyle, Allison, Vincent, Toni-Marie, Ethan and Jude and at last count he had nine-great grandchildren. A husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and American Hero.
RIP Arthur, you will be missed.
