Bernice M. Sterne

Bernice was born April 12, 1926 in Gary, Indiana. She worked as a Librarian for the city of Los Angeles for 36 years. Bernice enjoyed politics, playing the flute, reading, but most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Lionel; sons David Sterne, Harrison and wife Denyse Miner Sterne, Paul and wife Svetlana; daughters Miriam and husband Bill Marlin, Judy Sterne, Sara and husband Matt Avance, Rachel Sterne-Marr and husband Jon Marr; 9 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother Alvin D. and wife Brendie Rosenbloom and sister Lila R. Meyers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bernice’s honor to a charity of your choice.

Funeral services will take place Friday, January 11, 2013 – 1:00 PM at the Eternal Light Chapel on the grounds of Eden Memorial Park, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, California.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Groman Eden Mortuary, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, California.
