

was born January 19 th , 1940 in Youngstown, Ohio to his loving parents Rose and
Harold Schwartz. Chuck is the first born of seven siblings including Sandy, Rick,
Judy, Marc, Evelyn and Eddie.
Chuck attended school in Ohio through his senior year in high school before
moving to California and attending North Hollywood high. In his youth, Chuck
found a love for music and learned to play the saxophone, which he dearly
enjoyed. During his time at North Hollywood high, he joined the track team and
made two lifelong friendships with Tony Petralia and Larry House.
Following the later years after high school, Chuck joined the Navy. He was
stationed on the SS Sullivan and it was there he earned his sonar technician
certificate. Through his travels he met his sweetheart Marlene at a Jewish dance.
Fast forward six months later, they became married. Chuck and Marlene had two
children, Wendy and David. He was a salesman and worked with his father at the
family business Golden Bear Trailer, as well as Camper Services. He did this for
many years before selling the business and was involved in a variety of sales jobs
over the years.
Wendy had two children, Matthew and Erica and David had one son, Alex. Chuck
loved his grandchildren dearly and was the best Papa a grandchild could ever ask
for. The family lived in Porter Ranch for over 30 years. During the later years of his
life, Chuck became involved with the Jewish War Vets Post 603, eventually
becoming the commander and leading many events for veterans’ aid and support.
Chuck and Marlene were married for a beautiful 59 years before she passed
away. After her passing, he moved to Stevenson Ranch and lived with his son
David for four years. During the past year, he was diagnosed with stage 4 stomach
cancer and moved into the Jewish Home for the Aged.
Chuck is survived by his three sisters and three brothers, his daughter and son,
two grandsons, one granddaughter, nine nephews, four nieces, eight cousins,
grand nieces and nephews, and of course his sweet dog Lexi.
He was loved and adored by all who knew him and will be dearly missed. May he rest in peace.
