David Jacobowitz, 77, of Woodland Hills, passed away on March 17, 2024, at his home with loved ones in attendance. He was born on June 14, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, to his parents, Freida Freedman and Meyer Jacobowitz.
After relocating to Los Angeles and completing an AA degree at Los Angeles Community College, David founded his company, Valley Industry Products, embarking on a long and successful career in sales.
In 1968, he met his devoted wife, Peggy Jean Jacobowitz, on a dance floor in LA. After a 12-year courtship, they were married in 1980. Over 56 years together, they built a life filled with love and understanding.
David held great affection for his four stepsons, Jimmy, David “Sid”, Joe, and Chuck, as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was always ready with sound life advice and a few jokes. David also had a profound love for animals, particularly dogs, and generously supported the Humane Society.
After retirement, he embraced a quiet life, preferring the company of his beloved pets over large social gatherings. He found joy in watching Turner Classic Movies and taking long walks.
A private memorial service was held on March 20, 2024, with his family to celebrate David’s life and honor his memory.
