Herbert Hoover Weissburg, age 89, of North Hollywood, California, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 (6 Tamuz 5778). Herbert was born November 6, 1928 in Bronx, New York, to Uppy and Unya Weissburg, of Hungary.
Herbert is survived by his children, Gary Weissburg, Toni (Chris) Weissburg, and Reneé Walters; his grandchildren, Chris Pavloff, Brandon Pavloff and Jennifer Pavloff; and his great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Jayden, and Gauge.
Funeral services for Herbert will be held Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Groman Eden Chapel of Groman Eden Mortuary. Services will be officiated by Rabbi Michael Barclay of Temple Ner Simcha, and will conclude graveside in Eden Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Herbert's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
Herbert was an avid poker player and golfer. He enjoyed reading, especially about history; and traveling and cruising. In New York, he owned and operated a candy/ice cream shop, and was an owner and operator of a print shop when he later moved to California.
Herbert is an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Army.
