Lawrence Mitchell Berlin

Larry was born on January 16, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan to Maxwell (Berlinski) Berlin and Dinah Leah Gallant. He was the youngest of six siblings. Larry’s family moved from Detroit to Los Angeles around 1939. He graduated from North Hollywood High School in 1948. While attending UCLA, he entered the 40th Division California National Guard in 1948, which was activated to serve in North Korea in 1950. He graduated UCLA in 1954 with an accounting degree, followed by becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and owning his own accounting firm for over 40 years.

Larry is survived by his wife Janet Destler Berlin; children, Steven (Janice) Berlin, Renee (Chuck) Lichter, Keith (Marci Kaplan) Berlin; Step children, Steven (Kim) Destler, David Destler, Daniel Destler; Loving grandfather to Laura Lichter, Shaun (Rachel) Lichter; Scott (Jennifer) Berlin, Michael Berlin, David Berlin; Step-grandchildren, Deanne Destler, Dustin Destler; He was preceded in death by his first wife Harriette Berlin.

Funeral services for Larry will be held on Sunday, September 24, 2017, 3:00 in Eternal Light Chapel at Eden Memorial Park.
