

Marilyn Kastner Irvin, aged 79, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 5, 2024. One who was ambitious, charismatic, thoughtful, headstrong, generous and a staple among her communities, she will be greatly missed.
Marilyn was born on October 18th, 1944 in Chicago, IL, to Werner Kastner and Evelyn Lee, where she spent her formative years. She went on to attend the University of Miami and later touched many lives across her different professions and charities. She was a Teacher at a young girls prison, the proud Owner of her clothing store Marilyn's, a Notary and sharp business woman in Estate Sales. She supported charities and philanthropic efforts that raised awareness and funds supporting Cancer, Alzheimer's and Pets.
Marilyn is survived by her children Gary Irvin (Season Irvin) and Stacey Ward (Chad Ward) and her grandchildren, Brayden Ward and Ashlyn Ward. Her memory will be cherished and celebrated by all who knew her.
Respectful of her wishes a private, intimate ceremony will be held. An abundant celebration of life will be held in Palm Desert, at a future date, for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Animal Samaritans serving the Coachella Valley.
