It is with deep sadness that we share Mark R. Minsky, age 79, passed away on October 15, 2025 peacefully in his sleep. He was born on August 9, 1946 in New York to the late Harry and Helen Minsky. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Robert Minsky, whom he named his son after and his wife Isabel.
Mark attended Sylmar High School and then CSUN earning a bachelor’s degree. After college he served in the National Guard. After his service he went on to work in real estate for 50 years. He and his business partner, Phil Graf, went on to form Commerce Escrow, which they built into one of the most successful independent commercial escrow and 1031 exchange companies on the West Coast.
Outside of work, Mark lived a full life. He traveled all over the world, piloted and owned his own airplane, captained and owned his own boat, collected and restored classic cars and would love to sing at any opportunity. Besides his work accomplishments, what he was most proud of was his son. He also took great joy and fulfillment in being able to help so many people in many different ways throughout his life. Everyone that knew Mark knew that nobody had a bigger heart than him and he was loved by so many.
Mark is survived by his son, Robert, (wife Cynthia) and their three children, Tristan, Austin and Audrey.
A Celebration of Mark’s Life will be held on Sunday, November 9th, 2025 at 12 PM at Odyssey Restaurant - Apollo Room, 15600 Odyssey Dr., Granada Hills, CA 91344. There will be an open mic at 1 PM for anyone that would like to share any stories of Mark. Food and drinks will be served. Casual attire.
