

Nathan “Nate” Nahmias, a hard-working, selfless, loyal and loving family man, passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on January 8, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York, Nate lived a life full of dedication and devotion to his wife, Joyce, whom he married on June 8, 1958, his bride of 68 years. Together they had three sons, Alan, Rick and Glenn, four grandchildren, Brendan, Blake, Ryan and Max, and in the last few years he was delighted by the addition of great-grandchildren Logan, Claire and Beckett.
Nate was a proud and long-time resident of Los Angeles, California, after moving here from New York to co-found Metropolitan Adjustment Bureau in 1972, . He had served in the Army Reserves in the late 1950’s and dedicated 65 years of his life as a public insurance adjuster, showcasing his commitment and loyalty to his profession throughout that time.
Nate loved spending time with his family and friends, and along with Joyce, travelled the world extensively.
He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him and whose lives he touched.
A funeral and graveside service will be held at Groman Eden Mortuary in the Eternal Light Chapel, located at 11500 Sepulveda Boulevard, Mission Hills, California 91345 on February 20, 2026 from 1:00 pm. to 3:00 p.m.
