A funeral service for Rosalind will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 1234 - Groman Eden Mortuary, 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345.

February 15, 1941 - March 8, 2024

Rosalind “Roz” Mishkind passed away peacefully at 83 years old, following a long battle with metastatic breast cancer. During her last days she was surrounded by close family and friends. Rosalind was the daughter of Molly and David Cabin, and sister to Barbara, Rick, and Debbie. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and a new great grandmother. Roz was born in Youngstown Ohio and moved with her family to Los Angeles when she was a young child. She was a proud graduate of Los Angeles High School and remained very involved in the planning of their reunions throughout her life. Following some time at the University of Arizona, she moved back to Los Angeles to start a family with her husband at the time. Together they welcomed daughters Carole and Patty into the world. Roz worked as a residential realtor in Brentwood for 40 plus years.

Roz always found joy in life and never sat still. She had many interests including playing Mahj Jong, listening to country music, going to the theater and concerts, baking her famous “Grandma Roz coffee cake”, and staying very connected with her grandchildren. She cared deeply about her grandchildren and developed a special relationship with each one. They were her pride and joy. She was also passionate about family and friends and counted her many first cousins as her very best friends. She always made time to see her loved ones, whether in person, over the phone, or since Covid on her family zoom sessions which she arranged every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. No matter what, she always put her family first. And she was devoted to her friends as well, with lifelong friendships going back to Junior High school. Roz was loved by everyone who was lucky enough to get the chance to meet her and was lovingly called “Grandma Roz” by many outside her family. She is survived by her daughters Carole and Patty (Robert), her siblings Rick (Susan) and Debbie (Gary), her grandchildren Jordan (Niki), Matthew, Jessica, Sammy, and Tali and her great-grandson Dylan.

Her funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday March 12 at Eden Memorial Park Cemetery located at 11500 Sepulveda Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either of the following: FIDF (Friends of the IDF) fidf.org or Raptor Resource Project www.raptorresource.org
