Had sent a letter to Terry before he passed away. He is and always will be one of my most favorite actors. I like to think that he read my letter before he passed away. I just wanted him to know how much he meant to me and thank him for all the joy he brought my family and I on Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea.

Growing up I loved many Irwin Allen tv series which voyage was certainly a favorite chief sharky and I dare say the senior officers of the sea view are very fond memories to me I wish the remaining cast smooth sailing and sincere condolences to those who are only here in memory now

I enjoyed his work and admired his show business expertise. He was a childhood memorable character as CPO Sharkey, and the world was better knowing he was in it. Rest well. Sincerely, Suzanne

Eternal Chief Sharkey. Now in heaven with Admiral Nelson (Richard) and Kowalsky (Del).

I only met him once, at a Chiller Theater convention, but he was an incredibly nice guy. I know that he was busier as a producer and director than as an actor, but I thought he was great on VOYAGE, and I also remember him well from The Twilight Zone and other shows from the 1950s.

I will never forget the man. He was a Hollywood treasure but more so a soulful human being. Underneath that tough exterior was a delicate soul who always made time for those especially in need. I was most fortunate to be close to him. Rest in peace, Terry. I love you.

As a young boy in Jr. High and a big fan of Voyage along with my friends, the coincidence of having the same name as this fine actor ensured I would be called "Chief Sharkey". Nicknames at that age can be cruel but this one naturally pleased me immensely as the character was universally liked and admired.

Condolences to Mr. Becker's family.
