Sumner “Sonny” Feldman passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family.
He enjoyed flying Cessnas and Piper Cherokee’s, volunteering at The Museum of Flying,
listening to Big Band music, and spending time with his family.
He was an active member and Officer of the Knights of Pythias for many years, and served on
the Board and in the Brotherhood at Temple Isaiah where he and his wife, Sheri, have been
members since 1975.
Sonny was a dedicated educator and administrator for many years who left a tremendous
impact on students in the classroom and beyond.
Born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts, his move to Los Angeles led him to Sheri, the love of
his life, for 56 years.
He is survived by his wife, Sheri; daughters, Diane Feldman and Amy Raichlen (Robert); three
grandchildren who adore him, Caitlyn, Cody and Jake; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is
pre-deceased by his parents, David and Bessie Feldman; and three sisters, Marion Jacobs,
Pauline Samuels and Roslyn Gerstl.
He was, and always will be, a treasured husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle,
cousin, and friend.
Sonny will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he touched.
