

Born in Newton, Massachusetts in 1932, Thelma moved to Los Angeles at the age of 17 in search of warmer climate. She and her late husband, Sheldon, were longtime members of Temple Beth Ami in Reseda, originally under the guidance of Rabbi Morris Margolis, of blessed memory, where she was an active member of the Sisterhood and thrived in the community. She also had a passion for the care for children facing health challenges and was a dedicated volunteer for decades at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. She had a special place in her heart for her Los Angeles Dodgers in up seasons and down.
Thelma Goldstein is survived by her son Michael and daughter-in-law Debbie Gold, M.D., grandsons Aaron, and granddaughter-in-law Alison Moule, and Ethan Goldstein, daughter Leslie Zdroy, son-in-law Frank Zdroy, grandson Kevin Zdroy, great granddaughter Tulip Zdroy, daughter Grace Kilzi and grandson Matthew Kilzi, grandson Daniel Goldstein, granddaughter Dana Goldstein, and great granddaughter Brooklyn Goldstein-Gobee, and sister Carol Pett.
The funeral will be held Monday, June 8, 2026, at Eden Memorial Park Cemetery in Mission Hills at 11:00 a.m.
Shiva will be conducted in person on June 10, at 7:00 p.m., at 7900 Sausalito Avenue, West Hills, CA 91304, and by Zoom on June 11 at 7:00 p.m., permitting relatives and friends out of town to participate, at https://UCOP.zoom.us/j/93255055943?from=addon.
