God blessed Steve and Tammy with their first born child on December 2, 1985. Missy grew to become a very smart and loving little girl and she attended St. Pius X Catholic School, and she graduated from McGill-Toolen Catholic High School in the class of 2004.
Missy met Christopher Milar in the fall of 2022 and he became the love of her life. She and Christopher were engaged in January of 2023 and were married November 10, 2024. Christopher was a gift from God to our Missy and her family. They shared a great love of all animals; especially their dog Cora and their cat Elanor. They both loved great music from all genres, and Missy especially loved volunteering at the Lenten Fish Frys at Little Flower with her dad, and at the Joe Jefferson Playhouse with all of her beloved theatre friends.
Missy left this world early Tuesday morning, September 15, 2026 at the young age of 40. She died unexpectedly, yet peacefully in her sleep and left us all shattered. Our hearts are broken, but she is healed and with all of her family and friends who passed before her.
Missy was preceded in death by her grandparents Ed and Donna VanArsdale, Herbert M. Holt, Bill and Ann Holt Sundie, her aunts Theresa Caine and Mary Barnes.
Missy is survived by her husband Christopher Milar, her parents Steve and Tammy VanArsdale, her sister Stephanie, and her beloved dog Cora and cat, Elanor. As well as all of her wild animals that she and Christopher generously fed in their backyard. She leaves her aunts Valrie (Smitty) Vanek and Deidra (Phil) Lindauer and her uncle Mark VanArsdale. She leaves behind several cousins and dearly loved lifelong friends.
Mass will be celebrated at Little Flower Catholic Church, Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 11 A.M. 2053 Government Street, Mobile, Alabama 36606. A reception will follow in the school cafeteria.
