Garet Turner “Ret” Seibt, Sr., Age 57, a Native of Mobile, Alabama and a longtime resident of Fairhope, Alabama died Friday, August 7, 2026. Ret was a 1987 graduate of McGill-Toolen High School and a 1994 graduate of the University of Alabama. He was employed as a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA.
He is remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He loved fishing, boating and watching his sons play football and baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve Wilson Turner Seibt, and Garet VanAntwerp Seibt; his grandparents, Genevieve Wilson Turner, Benjamin Dickinson Turner, Emily Augusta Cooke, Felix Alfred Seibt, Bernice McAlpine Curry Hentschel and Frank Hentschel.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Kristan Timney Conner Seibt; his children Garet Turner (Ryan) Seibt, Jr., Benjamin Timney Seibt and Conner Thomas Seibt; his step-mother, Nancy Hentschel Seibt; his sister Emily Genevieve Seibt (John) Hoppenjans; his nieces, Olivia Leigh Friloux, Grace Anne Friloux, Catherine Elise Hoppenjans, and Caroline Elizabeth Friloux; his nephews, John Wilson Hoppenjans and Michael Konrad Hoppenjans; his sister-in-law, Kelley Marie Conner (Randy) Friloux; aunts, uncles and other relatives.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11 A.M. on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Reverend Steven T. Williams as celebrant. Interment will follow in Timney South Cemetery, Fish River, Alabama. A reception will be held at the St. Lawrence Room following interment.
